In 1994 Lynda wrote the popular Christmas single, "Ozark Mountain
Christmas" that's played every year during the holiday season on
Wal-Mart Radio throughout the nation, and it won Lynda a Golden Award for
Excellence in Nashville. She has written over 40 songs which have been recorded and performed throughout the United States by many Branson performing artists, including Barbara Fairchild, Nedra Culp, Randy Brooks, Joe Gallo, Mark Winking, DeeDee Hamilton, Jessica James, Sue Ann O'Neal, Larry Moore, Char Parrot and the Blackwood Singers. In 2002 Lynda completed three new songs that were released at a press conference held at Branson's Jim Stafford Theater. Gregg Busch from the Showboat Branson Belle recorded Lynda's new song "One Voice," along with Randy Brooks who portrayed Jesus in "The Promise," and Morgan Dale who starred in Dolly Parton's "Dixie Stampede." Lynda says one of her proudest moments was when Gregg Busch performed the song "One Voice" for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society at their annual convention in September 2003, which was held at the Chateau on the Lake in Branson, and then on September 11 when it was played during the 911 ceremonies held at the Grand Palace in Branson. Lynda has recently finished an inspiring booked entitled The Turning Point, A Teenager's Rebellion which is the story of her youngest son, Rory, and his journey through rebellion. "It's a book that I hope will be a source of hope and inspiration for families who are going through similar situations." |
